Massimo Di Stefano
Massimo Di Stefano is an Italian hairstylist based in London. He began his career in Napoli, inspired by the vibrant youth culture linked to the music scene of the early 1990s. Drawn by London’s unique energy and determined to develop his technical skills further, Massimo moved to the UK in 1996 and applied for an apprenticeship with Vidal Sassoon. Six months later a haircut from Massimo’s final test was selected to represent the company’s annual collection. As a result, he was invited to join the International Creative Team at the iconic Vidal Sassoon School and Academy. Over the last fifteen years Massimo has regularly worked backstage during New York, London, Milan and Paris fashion weeks, styling hair for Couture, Prêt-à-Porter and Menswear shows. During this time he has also founded an education and image-making company, owned a salon in central London and consulted for a number of leading haircare brands. With a flawless aesthetic and an obsessive attention to detail, Massimo brings industry experience spanning over 20 years to every editorial, campaign and special project. A passion for architecture and design and a broad spectrum of cultural references are evident in Massimo’s work, characterised by an eclectic and idiosyncratic sense of style.
