Stefano Gatti
Stefano Gatti was born in Italy, in the dreamy city of Reggio Emilia, in 1962. He attended a range of design courses starting with the Istituto d'Arte di Parma, and later a training course at the Unfas Academy before leaving for London, where he studied haircut techniques at Vidal Sassoon. From 1986 to 1999. Stefano became one of Aldo Coppola’s closest collaborators and his work appeared on leading covers and on shootings performed by top photographers, like Guy Bourdin, Gianpaolo Barbieri, Oliviero Toscani and Patrick Demarchellier, as well as fashion designers like Valentino, Versace, Ferrè and Armani Stefano Gatti’s editorials featured in Vogue, WWD, Amica, GQ, Icon, VanityFair, Interview and the several glamorous magazines. He worked in Paris for the covers of Madame Figaro, Dior’s make-up line ads. Stefano's evergreen rule is to use hair as if it were matter and to make it look alive. Whether a wavy or a versatile construction, hairstyling can create a frame, an atmosphere, a moment in time and an image that tells a story.
