Sloan Laurits
Sloan Laurits (born 1980 in Connecticut, USA) Lives and works in Forest, Belgium. In 1986 Sloan found skateboarding and in turn punk rock and rap music. Sloan’s education came through Thrasher magazine, local hardcore shows, and Public Enemy. Sloan Laurits moved to NYC in the 1990’s where a career in the content creation industry began. In 2019 after the birth of their first child Sloan and his family moved to Europe. Sloan’s work has been commissioned by clients worldwide including: CR Fashionbook, Louis Vuitton, W magazine, Richard Chai, Interview magazine, Fiorucci, The Last Magazine, Tim Coppens, Esquire, KITH, Museum magazine, Hunter Boots, V magazine, and Opening Ceremony to name a few. Sloan is represented by W/M Management in Milan, Italy. Sloan’s first solo exhibition of photography was held at the Freehand hotel in Manhattan July 2019. His work has been featured in the group shows: “NY4PR” Soho, NY. Nov 2017; “Real Fashion Photography” Ringling Gallery, FL. Mar 2019.
