Gianpaolo Ceciliato was born and bred in Milan, where he grew up immersed himself in the world of makeup, fashion & beauty. He trained rigorously in Milan and was soon working regularly with Italy’s most iconic fashion houses, including Valentino, Armani, and Versace. After many years spent in honing his craft in Italy, Gianpaolo Ceciliato took his talent overseas to New York City. Since his arrival in the U.S. more than a decade ago, Gianpaolo has become one of the most well-known and beloved makeup artists in this trade. His precise makeup techniques and affable personality immediately caught the eyes of leading photographers, publications, and clients, including brands such as L’Oréal, Maybelline, and Tom Ford, which have called on him to create timeless beauty looks for their brands. Gianpaolo has collaborated with world-renowned photographers such as Patrick Demarchelier, Steven Shining, Jason Kim, and Michael Schwartz. His makeup has graced the pages of British Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, Marie Claire Italia, L’Officiel, and Paper Magazine, among others. Gianpaolo works regularly with leading ladies like Emma Roberts, Scarlett Johannsen, Millie Bobby Brown, Natalia Dyer, Rachel Brosnahan, Rose Byrne, Kate Walsh, Sarah Jessica Parker, Idina Menzel, and Catherine Zeta Jones, to name but a few.
